A girl, who is new to the neighborhood, decided to take it upon herself to inform me that two of Elliotts friends are no longer allowed to play with Elliott. These are close friends and I have a good relationship with their mother. They also havent even been home at all today, so I know they didnt make that decision. This little girl did this out of pure cruelty. She had another mean girl with her. I proceeded to chew her out, without yelling, and told her just how rude and cruel she was. She stormed away in tears, leaving the other girl behind. I then went to the father to explain the situation before the girl could spin it in her favor. She showed up later, in tears, with a long stemmed rose for Elliott as an apology. Luckily, Elliott didnt follow me to the door for one in her life and is completely oblivious to the whole thing. I had an extremely tough childhood and it still amazes me how cruel children can be.
