A given day of our everyday lives, a simple gesture, an action, - TopicsExpress

A given day of our everyday lives, a simple gesture, an action, can turn our world into a living hell. While I was finishing the postproduction of my first film I made a terrible mistake: I sent an arrogant and disgusting email that I should have never written. The consequences were thousands of insults and death threats. People even encouraged me to kill myself. I suffered, but so did my beloved ones: family, friends, partners. Luckly, instead of falling deeper, that email and its consequences changed my life. They turned me into a very different person of who I was and which is much more like who I want to be. It opened my eyes. Sometimes you need a hit to understand. I received many and thats why what I learned was big too. In this TEDx I gave in 2013 I tell the story of my journey, and although its not complete yet, I feel closer to some kind of truth. I still suffer the consequences of that mistake but, unlike then, I now think its one of the best things that ever happened to me.
