A good friend posted a story written by a token right wing extremist black guy. The story was supposed to clear the air that ultra right wing extremists dont have to be racist. I agree. Anyway, the writer went on and on about how much he hated the Obamas and compared them to some pretty horrible historic figures. This was my comment on what the writer said. He sounds way past batshit crazy to me. Mind you, I voted for Obama the first time because he was the only one running who could beat McCain. The second time I voted for him because he was the only one running who could beat Romney. Now the party of the writer of this story wants to toss out McCain because he is offering a voice of reason. Extremists hate reason. I didnt give a damn about the healthcare act but all of this discussion has caused me to develop empathy for those whose only hope IS that act. Clearly America needed something and no one else came up with anything. So by treating it the way Reagan treated H.I.V. the Republicans brought what they call Obamacare onto themselves. They avoided the responsibility of thinking about the disadvantaged and forced the other side to do the job for them. The Act has issues, same as any major piece of legislation. But the issues are not near as bad as the liars at Fox and similar places are saying. The only way to work through those issues is to put it into service and let them surface. This writer speaks of other areas where he thinks the current president is out of step with America. No doubt this means he is one who only gives a damn about an embryo until it is born. That is anything BUT pro life. It is pro birth. No doubt he also is anti marriage as well. Let the Fundies define Holy Matrimony the way they want, it is strictly a religious thing. But marriage is strictly civil and it is unconstitutional to use religion as a way to establish civil laws. If people want to marry, are of legal age and not already related, let them marry. It is no ones business to interfere. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Other opinions may vary.
