A good math equation will only give you the correct proportional - TopicsExpress

A good math equation will only give you the correct proportional spreading as in calibration, whereas arriving at the values to plug in must be found more empirically, like turning a cogwheel with a certain kind of visible light, or color, as a ping—a certain segment of that light—traveling through one cog then five miles and bouncing back to pass through another cog as that wheel is turned to get the specific velocity value of a given type of light. Finding a .25% velocity difference between blue and red would need an incredibly high speed cogwheel and an extremely short ping of that light to discover. -DL
