A great answer to the drumbeat of anti-lobbying cries. David Cohen of Comcast asked about the 100 lobbyists they were alleged to be deploying to get their TWC acquisition through: There arent 100 lobbyists for this transaction. The 100 lobbyists covers our Washington office and all of our consultants ... We happen to be a big, complicated company. Frankly, I think the number of lobbyists we have, and the number of issues that we have to confront on a day-to-day basis, raises more questions about the intrusiveness of government and government regulation than it does about our having to have a government advocacy organization.
