A great big thank you to all our readers and audiences from Fridays Purely Poetry. It was a real pleasure to host the night, the perfect antidote to what has personally been a stressful, crazy week! Our readers, in no particular order: Andy Ward, Ray Givans, Reggie Temple, Nathan Elout-Armstrong, Ozzy, Andrew Beattie, Mark Cooper, James King, Maeve OConnor, Geraldine OKane, Sam Ferrante, Capri, Willetta Fleming, Catherine Hatt, Mary, David Davies, Stephen Omar Gharbaoui, David Smylie and Patrick McNicholl. We try to encourage a good sense of community at the open mic nights: its not only a place to come to listen and share poetry, but to also chat, meet fellow poets, make friends and generally enjoy the craic. We had a few people thank us on Friday, commenting on the laidback atmosphere and supportive crowd. That makes us happy, and its part of the reason we keep on doing it! Remember, theres no open mic in January, but we have our Christmas reading on Thursday 18th Dec, with eight very fine poets indeed. We hope you can join us then.
