A great blog about the effects of well intentioned memes and other forms of communication. We do not support the theory that it is all in how a dog, kid or anything is raised. Nor do we suport that breed, race, religion or anything will guarantee any behavior - good or bad. We do however support each animal and case be taken individually, with some basics in CURRENT, SCIENCE BASED EDUCATION that apply to all mammals, not just dogs, but that education has got to be there. In order to re-educate those that are so well meaning, but just plain inaccurate, we have to speak out when we see these memes, statements or otherwise. We need to re-educate so that the dogs "we" put out to the public ARE to the best of our ability known as safe, no matter history or breed. We can accomplish this, we can recognize some behaviors that almost always precede unwanted ones, we CAN re-educate those in our community - together we really can do it. beyondbreed/raising-them-right-and-bad-owners/
