A great day exploring new spaces and playing in familiar grounds.... this video is from this morning and I think everyone will enjoy it! Driving up the canyon a Bighorn ram surprised me as he was bossing around his ewes, as they started to climb the rocks I decided to park and walk to watch them - what I hadnt realized was another ram was chasing them and shortly was between me and my vehicle - this video starts with him standing on the road (by this time I had put one of those giant light poles between us), and follows him up the rocks as he continues to follow the girls.... when you hear me make a gasping noise is when I realized one of the sheep above had dislodged a small boulder and it was crashing down directly at the ram, ever so thankfully he leaped out of the way and I watched the rock continue down, across the road and into the river below (if I had stayed in my FJ like I normally do I would have been sitting exactly where it bounced across the road)! So today I am glad I did something different for many reasons.... watching Bighorns leap around the rocks is always very cool, but I have not before witnessed rocks bouncing down the cliff - I suddenly have a lot more respect for those falling rock signs!! **Not really sure why and I apologize for how the video is blurry after uploading.... hope you are able to enjoy anyways!
