A great in the moment action picture of Newzen Shalaka. Or Phurbu as he is called. One of the four companions, me, Einar Helgen and Dawa Phinjo Lama on our quest to climb frosen waterfalls in Rolwaling, Nepal, under the foot of the holy mountain Gauri Shankar. Phurbu was more or less jumping both up and down very steep and exposed grass slopes and rockfields. Places where at some points I were litterarly climbing for my life. Needless to say, as a very slow and heavy norwegian, I was quite impressed over this very lightfooted sherpa, born in the heart of the deep vallies and the high mountains of the Himalayas, training to become one of the legendary and worldwide feared Gurkha soldiers of Nepal.
