A great night on the syndicate last night. Took my daughter and spent the night under the hog SF. Two bedchairs fit in a dream. First fish came at 9.30pm to my left hand margin. It was quite surreal as I had just put Jamie to bed and was reading Dave Lanes capture of the big common in Crafty, I literally had just read that he loved fishing just 10ft of the rod tip, I looked at my left hand rod and said to myself Me too when the bobbin smashed in to the blank and the tip hammered around. Stunning mid double common gave me the run around under the tip and it was soon in the net. A solid bag again with a sprinkling of S7 halves and crumb around it. Northern Special Pink wafter, damn I love these hook baits. A long night with me tossing and turning and checking on the child making sure she was warm enough followed and come 4am I was dozing when the middle rod signalled a take, I was fishing locked up and the tip was hammering round when I got to the rod. Again the solid bag proving this carps downfall! To put things in to prospective my right hand rod was fished about a rod length from the middle with a hinged semi-stiff link and was never touched.
