A great opportunity for Sport/Recreation groups in Annapolis - TopicsExpress

A great opportunity for Sport/Recreation groups in Annapolis County! In November, CBC is getting set to launch the 2nd Annual Sports Day in Canada! It is a great time for everyone across the country to show how much sports has to offer to enrich our lives and empower us all to a better foundation for our futures. Let the Power of Sport Move You! This is a great chance for your local group/organization to set up an event between November 22nd – November 29th to promote yourselves and maybe recruit some new interest and members to your sport! In the week leading up to, and including, November 29, local organizations, communities and schools across Canada will throw open their doors to celebrate sport at the local level, and help build momentum for RBC Sports Day. Some ideas might be to: • Hold a TRY IT! Day – let people come and try the sport for free…let them learn and have fun • Hold a Festival at your local arena where perhaps Hockey and Figure Skating combine to do event • Hold an Open House • Have Competitons • Meet-and-Greets • Tournaments • Fun Runs • Spectator events and pep rallies that celebrate sport at all the levels. RBC Sports Day in Canada, presented by ParticipACTION, CBC and True Sport, will take place on Saturday, November 29 in communities from coast to coast to coast. This national celebration of sport, from grassroots to high-performance, is an opportunity for all Canadians to celebrate the power of sport, build community and national spirit and facilitate healthy, active living.
