A great story from Operation Breakthrough that should bring warmth to you all on this cloudy, chilly day... A little boy was seen yesterday and he got really excited (while in the waiting area, waiting to see the doctor) when he found a familiar book. He reached out for it while being called to get checked in. His mom cautioned him to put it back because it wasnt his. She said He really loved that book, but his baby sister tore it all up! He leaped for joy when we told him he can have it! His mother was surprised also, but I told them about Reach Out and Read. The excitement on his face over getting back a book he once had was a wonderful moment. This is just one of many stories, that shows the impact book sharing has on young children. There is nothing better than bringing joy to a childs life by giving them a book that they can call their own!
