A group of 33 high school students and their 3 teacher/chaperones from Mishima, Japan will arrive in Austin on Saturday, July 20 for a three-week language program at the Texas Intensive English Program (TIEP). On three days ( Wednesday July 24, Monday July 29, and Monday August 5), TIEP will host a conversation table at our school for the Japanese students to meet and interact with local Americans. Some activities will be arranged also. These conversation exchanges will take place in the large study hall on the second floor at TIEP, which is a 3-story cinderblock building located at 1103 W. 24th Street (at the corner of 24th and Leon). Some parking is available in front of and to the side of the building. If there is no parking space, street parking is available in some areas close to the building. If you have any questions, you may contact me (Woody Smith) at 512-477-9283 ext 138 (office) or 512-925-6546 (cell). You may also e-mail me ([email protected]).
