A group of CEOs hired a guide to take them through the mountains. The group found out that this guide was the best for this trip. The guide had taken many groups through the mountains. When the group met the guide they immediately regretted it. The guide was half the affect of the group and was a woman. Every partt of the trip the group resented the guide. Why were they going this way. The other trail looked easier. Having done this for 10 years she was accustomed to the behavior. "Have you ever been through this mountain? ",she asked the group. "No, "was the reply. But still they fought her at every turn. The group looked at the rough terrain and decided they would not listen to another word she said. But anticipating the revolt she said, " I promise you that the way looks hard. The road seems rough. But if I brought you to it, I will carry you through it. If you just trust me and follow me. " She kept her promise. So many times we look at where God has brought us and then we start to doubt. We know that what we see is much harder than we anticipated. We convince ourselves that somehow God has mistaken us for one of his other children. We go off the path that he has left. Veer from the directions to find an easier way. Only after we realize that we are lost and our way is harder do we listen to the voice. "Follow me. If I brought you to this place. I will take you through it as well. Never will I.bring you somewhere and leave you. And wherever I lead you know that I have gone before you to prepare it.". God is my guide and where He leads me I will follow. Are you following God or trying to lead Him?
