A growing number of tech behemoths are distancing themselves from the conservative organization ALEC :) Even more public-interest groups sent a letter to Google asking it to leave ALEC, in part because of the organizations environmental views. ALEC has actively opposed environmental regulations because it believes they would harm economic growth, and it has pushed model legislation that would dismantle state policies aimed at increasing renewable-energy output across the U.S, hence elsewhere in the wirld..... Boycott the influential tech companies maintaining a relationship with ALEC, including Yahoo, AOL, and eBay. Amazon, eBays rival, ended its relationship with ALEC in 2012. ALECs senior director of public affairs Bill Meierling said Its really unfortunate that these companies are choosing to leave at this time, what we are is a forum for dialogue and debate. Groups that arent part of that are missing out....
