A guide to Zionist Israeli musicians living in the West, and the tricks to which they resort in order to get gigs and avoid BDS calls for boycott: 1. Although I served in the Israeli army, I was only in the army band. Yeah right, at the rate most Israeli musicians in the West make this claim, the Israeli army it seems is made up of nothing but musicians! 2. I want peace between our two peoples. As though the two peoples are equal in any sense of the word; 3. Most of my friends are Arabs. Yeah, and my grandmother shits roses! 4. Id love to have Arab musicians in my band. In order to give themselves political - and most dangerously - cultural legitimacy. Bring on the aboriginal pygmy, I say! 5. I hate Israel and what it does, whilst they still carry Israeli passports and travel regularly to Israel to visit their families living in ethnically cleansed homes, built on stolen land; 6. We are the one and the same people, and our music is the same. So, the music of a melting pot of all races that started its colonialist entity over sixty years ago has the same cultural continuum as the indigenous Palestinians? There is a name for this and it is called cultural appropriation; 7. O, but I am actually British who has relatives in Israel, whilst they still hold dual Israeli/British nationality, thus swearing allegiance to the Zionist state; 8. Arabic and Ladino Jewish music is actually Israeli music. No shit! If anybody killed the indigenous Jewish presence in the Arab world, it is the creation of the (secular) state of Israel that told them they only belonged to Israel. Thus turning 1948 into Year Zero, erasing all the great contributions done by Sephardic & Arab Jews in the Arab world. This is a twisted form of cultural appropriation, to say the least; 9. Artists and venues that refuse with work with Israelis are antisemitic. No comment! 10. Lastly, and most dangerously: I am not Jewish anymore and I hate Israel because it is Jewish. Go **** yourself, you antisemitic tosser of an Agent Provocateur, cunningly blurring the line between anti-Zionism and antisemitism.
