A guy was beating the living shit out of a girl outside my flat and I mean beating I thought he was going to kill her the taxi they came in just sat there and the driver did nothing to help her. I opened my window and hurled abuse at him to make him stop it worked and he then came over to my flat window and said I quote I am gonna bring a rain of hurt on your flat and then punched my window in and went back to beating the girl. I saw dozens of people on the larne road watching him assault her but there was only one call to the police mine. The police told me if I prosecute I would have to pay to fix my window till the judge decided the punishment which could take a year or he will pay for the damage now no harm done Either way he was gonna get police bail to continue his night out. This was fine until they saw the damage he did to the girl he is now in Ballymena police cells. Is it me or is there something fundamentally flawed with the whole story if you can figure it out let me know cause I have no idea. I do know the LAW is an ass and the guys we depend on to see it dispensed aint much better.
