A heartfelt message from a blogger who calls herself ‘simplicity’ on siliconinvestor – I couldn’t agree more. What is happening in America when a two-star general is killed in a war whose soon-to-be scheduled end will result in the country being over-run by terrorists ... and the president who sent him into harms way spends the afternoon golfing rather than attending the generals funeral? And the funeral receives scant, if any, mention by the American media. And yet the parents of a teenage thug call a press conference in order to disclose the results of their sons personal autopsy and the media cover almost nothing else all day long ... and the speculation regarding the circumstances surrounding the thugs death, and what it portends for America in general will continue ad infinitum. Stay tuned for Trayvon Martin: The Sequel. If the family of Major General Harold Greene called a press conference to discuss their sons/fathers/husbands participation in the war in Afghanistan, the presidents lack of response to, and acknowledgement of, his death, and the bleak future of American troops still stationed in Afghanistan, would any of the media show up? That a man who doesnt have the resumé to run for local dog catcher could have successfully stirred the pot, and shifted the priorities, in this country to the point where the above scenario is acceptable, and there is little resulting outrage, is beyond surreal. siliconinvestor/readmsg.aspx?msgid=29675850
