A high pressure system will work into Iowa today. Temperatures will drop a few degrees this morning and only warm up to around 30 this afternoon. Winds will gradually diminish from the N at 5-15 mph. Mostly clear tonight with lows in the teens and a W/SW wind up to 10. Winds will increase from the southwest Sunday as a warm front tracks across the state. Highs will warm in to the 40s across most of the area with plenty of sunshine. Mid 40s and more cloud cover expected Monday ahead of our next system. There is a chance of a wintry mix Tuesday as a cold front tracks across the region. Cooler Wednesday but highs should return to the forecast by Thursday. There will be plenty of melting snow/ice this week so watch for localized flooding and ice jams.
