A hotel built in 1909 will no longer be around in Ellendale, North Dakota. The historic Ellendale hotel is being torn down. The cafe was last opened in 2004, but since then the building has sat empty. Private owners have tried to keep the building alive, but a June wind storm took out part of the back wall, leaving a gaping hole, and fixing it was expensive. Ellendale took ownership in October. The old hotel will be demolished tomorrow. There are no future plans for the site. More on First News.
