A huge congratulations to the team from the Rosemount Day Program who won the Spirit of St Mary Euphrasia Award for a Good Shepherd program or project for 2013. Well done to Maurizio, Alexis, Angela & Georgie!! There was another rapturous applause from the Good Shepherd network to acknowledge the wonderful work that this awesome team is doing to inspire young people in Sydney!! The Day Program not only focuses on the individual young person and their needs but also advocates for them. The youth workers who work with the young people on a day to day basis model authentic leadership to the young people and their leadership is underpinned by respect, compassion and hope. To date, Rosemount’s Day Program has assisted 1,464 young people and their families, working to meet the needs of young people who are at risk of long term socio economic disadvantage, social marginalisation and potential involvement with the juvenile justice system.
