A huge influence on the attitude of my figures and the composition of groups of figures - Bronislava Nijinskas Constructivist masterpiece for Diaghilev and the Russian Ballet. She was sister to Vaslav Nijinsky, the unearthly dancer and genius choreographer who created the lost original choreography for the Rite of Spring. She carried on his concepts while he was silenced forever in an insane asylum at the absolute height of his meteoric and influential ascendency. Dramatic stuff + early Modernism - like a drug to me.
