A huge shout out to all the young budding photographers, film makers, poets, actors, and speakers! On behalf of IBA Karachi and ACIF, we are excited to announce the first of its kind Youth Art & Literary Exhibition 2014. The exhibition will be held at Regent Plaza, Karachi on Sunday, April 13th. What is it? The Youth Arts and Literary festival is an initiative taken by the IBA literary society to provide a platform to all amateur artists in Pakistan to showcase their talents and win huge cash prizes by submitting us your artistic work. What does it include? A set of competitions, all designed to uphold the significance of the arts and to enable the youth to explore untapped avenues of creativity and ingenuity. The competitions include: · Photography Competition · Short Film Competition · Cultural Theatre Competition · Poetry Writing Competition · The Y.A.L.E Conclave (A public speaking competition) A set of informative exhibits including a expansive exhibit on the history of Pakistan as well as a series of panel discussions on a number of socially and culturally relevant topics by panels composed of renowned corporate personalities, internationally popular artists, and media celebrities. How to participate? We will be announcing the themes, rules, and winning prizes for all the categories this week through our facebook page: facebook/pakistan.yale We encourage amateur artists students from schools, colleges, and universities to submit their work. This is an open event so even those who won’t be participating in competitions can come and witness the beauty of the talent that it is abound in this glorious nation of ours.
