A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped reroute and re-plan and pull off this years Do-Wacka-Do Trail Runs and to the participants for showing up! I wanna thank Ransom Snowden and Jay Moynihan for coming up with the idea for the new routes. When you gotta know local roads and conditions, depend on the farmer/ranchers. We were fortunate to have these guys already on our team. The registration/award crew from the Roger Miller Museum: Marilyn Francis, Gayla Splinter, Cindy Tennery, & Karissa Harris. The Aid Station and Support Crews: cant say enough about Tracy Moynihan. Tracy and I had already marked the 16 mile course in the breaks and Tracy and Jay had delivered all the supplies down to the aid stations when we changed directions completely and went to the road (our supplies are still stranded in the breaks because of mud!) Tracy put her crews out on the road where we needed them and had them resupplied and ready to go at race time and they stayed there til the race was over. Thanks Leah Snowden Barker & Avery Barker, Ransom Snowden, Leeann Smith and Grandaughter, and Colby & Randi Smith. A big thanks to Curtis Austin & his wife Joyce for much humble support behind the scenes. The four wheelers, showers/bathrooms, and lights and were all because of Buzzy - Curtis and his family. You couldnt have picked a better year. Judy Mills for all the fabulous food and cookies - much of it from her own garden. And lastly to Retta Everett Snowden who has been recovering from surgery and was cheering from the sidelines this year and checking her notes often. Speedy recovery, cuz! An event has a lot of moving parts, and when the event is moved a half a day before gun time, you learn a lot about your team and about the participants who show up in spite of all the unknowns. Appreciate all yall. :) Joel
