A job search question: I recently started contacting past supervisors and others I have used as job references in the past, and one of them is just gone-- I mean, clean off the map, and I didnt really work with anyone else at the institution while I was there. It was a short-term volunteer position, but the work I did was valuable, so Id like to be able to keep it on my resume. Ive done everything I can think of to find this person without being overly creepy or breaking any laws, and no one currently there seems able to assist me. Thoughts? A Career Services person seems to think I should take it off my resume if no one there could verify my work to potential employers. Thanks in advance!
