A kid got shot to death by police in my home city of St. Louis (technically Ferguson) this weekend... He was unarmed and was not a threat... But they shot him to death anyway.... Residence in the area almost rioted..... .... because white police killed a teenage black boy..... Is it tragic...? Certainly.... But the irony, living in a city like Chicago, where black boys are killing EACH OTHER in record numbers, is that we dont feel that same anger to make change.... Why arent we just as enraged when were killing each other? Does a black boys death only have meaning and value when its at the hands of a white man?
