A letter from Sopore residents: We the inhabitants of Tujar Sharief, Latishot,Nowpora,Zonipora Tehsil Sopore Baramulla are suffering due of severe scarcity of irrigation waters for our paddy fields since the last several years. Every year our fields get water for some days before the transplantation,but the water vanishes out all together when it is the peak season to transplant peddy. We approached the authorities several times but to no avail.To add to to the plight we are being made to pay the revenues (Maeli) to the department without any relaxation to the irrigation division Handwara. So,we request your goodself to bring our miseries to notice of the concerned authorities so that our demands are fulfilled...by Ayaz Ahmad Mir..
