A letter from the O-League Commissioner o-league.jp is a league still in it development stages. This is only our third season and our first that will bring in American teams. We have grown from 8 teams, to 11 teams, and will be at over 20 teams this season. We hope to have a 6 to 8 team women`s league as well. Our rules have been altered in order to fit the needs of our customers. Rules such as 8min quarters, 6 team fouls, and only 30 second time outs are in use to squeeze the full warm up and game into a 2 hour window as well as to keep things safe. Above all, we are interested in safety as most of our participants have full time jobs and need to support their families. All accidents need to be mopped up, and play cannot get rougher than needed. Advantages of our league: 1. It is a league that ends with a playoff. This means a lot of games for everybody. 2. We take stats of everything (still only 80-90% accurate). All stats are listed on the website, much like the pros. 3. We play all games on weekday nights at local school gyms. 4. Semi-finals and finals are a one day event at the end of the season 5. We divide teams based on their level (to the best of our ability) We rely on feedback from the teams and the staff to help develop the product. Someday we hope that traffic to the website will attract enough sponsors to pay for the league itself. Thanks,
