A letter to the Mayor of Wake Forest Vivian Jones: [email protected] Mayor Jones, I am writing you today as a resident and concerned parent of Wake Forest. I moved to Wake Forest from out of state about 7 years ago. First my wife and I moved here to a Town House while we decided where to lay our roots in the Wake County area. We never would have thought that where we first started is where we wanted to stay. Just a couple of years later my wife and I decided to become first time home owners and purchase a home here in Wake Forest. Then just a few months later found out we were going to have a our first child. Fast forward 4 years later and we now have another 6 month old addition to the family. We have been blessed putting our roots down here in Wake Forest and it has been a wonderful community. It appears over the last 7 years many people have decided to make the same choice by living here and we have seen tremendous growth. However, that growth some times comes quick and many can be caught off guard. I feel that the intersection at Capital Blvd and Caveness Farms Ave is part of this growth, but was and is a dangerous intersection even back then. I know recently that they approved to put a Sams Club over in that area which will eventually cause us to have a stoplight at that intersection. However, with todays tragic events the time to act is now for an a long overdue traffic light to be put at that intersection. We are counting on you as the Mayor to take action and be proactive in this effort. I have already put up a petition on Change.org and in just a few short hours already have over 100 signatures. We ask you to join us and get whomever needs to be involved to make this happen be engaged now not later when a big box retail store appears.
