A little clarification, folks. GHF isnt *just* about intellectual giftedness or homeschooling methods. We believe that when a child in the family is gifted or 2e, this impacts the dynamics - the lifestyle - of the entire family, especially since its usually a family trait! Our perspective is that parenting and educating these kids involves the whole child and the whole family, not a piece here and a piece there. Many of us have made the choice to homeschool (for multiple definitions of homeschool). Were here to help each other on that journey. We dont discriminate, though. If you are not currently homeschooling or if you are a professional who works with our community, you are welcome here, too. The more people who understand our kids, the better! We do not judge others choices. We provide information, support, and a safe place to talk about things that may be controversial or simply misunderstood. Posts may not always have a neon sign explaining their direct connection with giftedness or homeschooling. We trust you can keep an open mind, or else skip that post and move on to the next one! We dont endorse everything we post, either. Sometimes we put it out there to hear what you all make of it. Part of the fun for the volunteers at GHF is in learning from our community, and receiving the same support we all need when we are raising high need children.
