A little dutchie-mal love for your evenings pleasure: A certain cranky mal squirted out the door with Hawkitt, the DS puppy, for exercise and tire-out-the-puppy play. MicaPie CrankyPaws wanted to play fetch and tug with her little-big brother really desperately. She got knocked over a couple of times and really lit into Hawk a few times too - telling him in no uncertain terms that it was her turn to get the stick. Hawk never responded to any of the crank. Never even turned his head. Mica went after him a couple of times right on the edge of me intervening and putting her inside, but it became clear pretty quickly that Hawk was going to tolerate and ignore. Finally we played tug. I stayed in the middle and helped Mica have her end to chew while Hawk got to tug. He tugged so gently and patiently it was amazing. He just waited until she was satisfied then went to town with me once she was finished. She was beaming all over. She was running and leaping and wagging her fool head off. Im overwhelmed by having 5 dogs - this is madness - but it is so heartwarming and beautiful too. Hawkitt is the nicest dog ever.
