A little family history-- my Father Ivor John Bennett was born at The Elms, Swindon Road in 1920 and was, as far as I know ,abandoned and fostered out to the Turner family as a baby in Croft Road Charlton Kings. He won a scholarship to Pates but unfortunately when the church charity money ceased when 14 he had to leave and sought his fortune eventually in London. Joined the Air Force during the war and met my Mum Joan who was a WAAF engine fitter. They married and came back to Cheltenham to live where my sister and I were born. Sadly Dad died in 1970 aged 49 and my Mum is 91 and not very well in a Care Home in Hants. This is one of my favourite pictures
