A little help, please? So The Editor is busy, and trying to write back-cover copy for THE DINOSAUR LORDS. Since she is so busy (and always attentive to authors, it seems) she kindly asked me to take a whack at a couple paragraphs of plot. So cool. Except ... Im not sure what the plot of Book I *is.* Since it started life as setting up the senses-shattering second half of the book. Now I certainly dont want to talk anybody out of reading Book I, to don my Captain Obvious hat. I think its a dynamite read. I did my best to make it that way - since how else would I persuade readers to plow through to the second half of a 270-kiloword boat anchor? But the idea of what, exactly, its plot is as a *novel* ... um.... So Im asking those of you who have read the beta ms., or even just made it through the first half, for some suggestions about how youd characterize its story, please. (Note: Book 1 ends with what was originally the Intermedio. Yeah, theyre all going to end with a sinister, short hook scene, except the last one. *Maybe.*) If you can help me come up with a nice, usable summation of the Book 1 plot, Ill mention you in the Acknowledgements.
