A little late but its been a busy week! ;) This weekend we took 3 of the BCS UNITED teams to Austin to compete in the Capital City Classic tournament. I couldnt be any more proud of all three teams! Our U13s placed 3rd in the bronze division narrowly missing the championship game by 2 points! They finished with a 1-1-1 record, losing 1-0 to a Gold ranked (trophy hunting) FC Dallas team, and tied a Gold ranked San Antonio team 2-2, both of which eventually played for the championship with the Dallas team winning 6-1. On Sunday the U13s battled back from a 2-1 half time deficit to win 3-2, which earned the team the 30 points need to advance to our new Silver ranking! Congratulations BCS UNITED U13 SILVER BOYS!!! Our U12 GIRLS placed 2nd in the silver division, going undefeated in bracket play. Unfortunately they ran into a very tough VERY PHYSICAL team from McAllen in the championship game, and had a referee that was more than willing to let it get physical (a little too physical at times LOL). Even though the final score was made a little more lopsided by 2 late goals, (we pushed everyone up late and got caught by their counter attack with only 2 defenders, thats on us coaches) it was a very tightly well played match by both teams and did I mention it was a PHYSICAL match too lol! Super proud of you ladies! Way to fight hard to the end! And what can I say, our U12 BOYS do what they do lol! Win. They competed in the Gold division, and also went undefeated in bracket play knocking off two teams ranked in the top 25 in state, and smoking the number 6 ranked team in the state 4-0! They went on to win the final 2-0 to defend their title and become back to back Capitol City Classic Champions!! Way to go boys you guys are machines!!! Congratulations to all three teams!!! GO UNITED!!!! #HARDWORKPAYSOFF#REPnBCS#BRONZESILVERGOLDBOYEEEEEEE!!!!!!
