A little over 7 weeks ago l met Trina at Jimmy Stumpfs memorial service. We had a nice chat and l left the afterparty thinking, Hmmm...l would really like to get to know her better. The next day we friended each other on Facebook and started chatting back and forth, a conversation that ended up lasting five or six hours. She invited me over for her housewarming party the next day, and l ended up breaking my other plans to come see her place and a chance to hang out with her. We fell in love that day. After everyone else left we sat and talked and talked; there was this great connection between us. In some ways l felt like l had known her all my life, and in other ways there was this fascinating intellectual connection where l felt like l could talk and talk and never learn enough about her. I remember thinking, I hope lm not wearing out my welcome, maybe she has things she needs to do before the work week begins. Finally l asked if she was hungry, and we went to eat at our favorite little Mexican joint up the street. I have never wondered if she wanted me to leave again. Full of excitement over our new found love, we had the conversation about who we should tell first and when we should let everyone know. We decided that we would keep it a secret and then let everyone know by posting it on Facebook on April Fools Day. Yeah, that would have been a hoot, alright. The problem is, when you have something that makes you feel so wonderful, you just cant keep it to yourself. I think we lasted all of a few days before we said, Phuq it! and told the whole world. I have never been happier and it is so nice knowing l have found my soulmate and my lifes love. Surprise!!! Its for real :-)
