A little over a year ago, thanks to Hamish Gow, my research supervisor at the time, I came to learn of Dr Ernesto Sirolli, a world renowned authority in the field of economic development. I was immediately taken with his work. I researched it, wrote about it, even hunted down a person living in New Zealand who had once worked with Sirolli himself. Just a few weeks ago I received a call from Sirollis wife, who also works in this field, all the way from California. She had heard about me. And so today I am flying to Brisbane to meet Ernesto Sirolli and spend three days at the University of Queensland with this amazing and sought after mind. It still doesnt seem real. Just two words keep replaying in my head: be cool, be cool, be cool. I know, reads like a Tui billboard. #completefangirl
