OMG!! Well, sitting here putting together a post, just relaxing in our bedroom when Ernie asks Hey what is this?...and I see him hovering over a glass containing, yep, you guessed it...a brown recluse!!! On. Our. Bedroom. Floor! So of course, I immediately looked for an essential oil spider repellent and found the perfect recipe. Here you go. May a shoe never have to be used as a weapon again. #BeGone #Spiders #PetKidFriendlyRepellent #YoungLivingSavesUs #Peppermint ~16 oz spray bottle ~15 drops of Peppermint essential oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia Essential Oil works also, aka tea tree oil. Heard Lavender can work also but peppermint seems to be the best.) ~A small squirt of eco friendly dish soap (The soap breaks apart the oil molecules in the water, making for a more consistent solution) ~Shake and spray window sills, door ways, dark places, closets, under beds around beds and all over your childrens rooms!) ~Enjoy a holiday scent with the relief that you wont have 8 legged aliens camping out where you sleep. I would like to add an appreciation that I have for these creatures who eat mosquitos and flys and such, but please keep your shenanigans in uninhabited parts of our abode. ;)
