A little warning to all. My wife and I really lucked out the other day. If having your bug catch on fire can be considered lucky. We drove out in to the mountains of Montana to do some huckleberry picking. We found an area about 3 miles off the main road that looked promising. We parked and got out and walked up the hill about 50 yards and saw that it looked promising. My wife went back to the car to get the buckets and started screaming for me to get down there fast. I arrive to see the back seat on fire right in front of the battery. Luckily I had a fire extinguisher (we all carry one right) and put the fire out. But here is the warning. What had happened was a spring, of course the one right over the positive terminal on the battery had broken and swung down and shorted out the battery causing sparks I assume. My bad was that the battery I had did not have a cover like the one that is in there now. The odds are pretty slim of this happening Id guess, but dont say I didnt warn you that it could. We were really lucky that we went back to the car to get the buckets. Imagine if we had grabbed them to start with and started hiking in. The car would have gone up in flames and probably the forest too. So luck was on our side and a lesson learned.
