A long forgotten child star of the past. This is a publicity shot from 1914 of Paul Jacobs who was the star of the Little Billie comedies.Paul was first discovered by director HenryPathe Lehrman in 1913.The young Paul was such a trouper it was decided to star him in a proposed series of comedies.Four films were shot until Paul was stolen away from Keystone by Lehrman and Ford Sterling who costarred with Paul and were leaving anyways. They continued shooting comedies under the Sterling banner for about a year or so until Sterlings company went out of business. After an occasional picture back at Keystone(/Triangle)Paul disappeared from the screen altogether.
