A lot of Americans fear that if we had no government, we would be invaded, conquered and occupied by some oppressive regime, some nasty authoritarian power that might steal the fruits of our labor, try to disarm us, and try to control every aspect of our lives, treating us like subjects, like human livestock! Well, to anyone who fears such a thing happening without national defense, I have some bad news for you: we already HAVE been conquered and occupied; there already IS an authoritarian empire robbing and controlling us. And as it happens, it is the ONLY empire on earth capable of doing that to the American people and its 100,000,000 or so gun owners. And the only reason this empire can get away with it is because most of its victims imagine it to be a rightful authority and imagine its demands to be laws, falling for the lie that constitutions, elections and other political rituals can bestow upon some mere mortals the right to rule. In other words, the only reason the American people have been subjugated is because they believe in the myth of government. Way to go, statists. Because of your fear of being invaded and conquered, you HAVE been invaded and conquered. You advocated and enabled the one institution capable of enslaving the American people: government. All the usurpers had to do was disguise themselves as public servants and protectors, and you bowed and obeyed. You have enriched and empowered the only regime on earth that actually poses a threat to the freedom and prosperity of the American people, the only gang of thieves and tyrants that we actually need to be protected FROM: the authoritarian empire that flies the Red, White and Blue.
