A lot of heated squeaking over criticism of the Sniper movie. Why is so difficult for people to understand that you can be critical of military action without condemning the soldiers? And you can be critical of an individual solider without also indicting all soldiers or all military actions. A patriot never follows with blind support but constantly questions the legal and moral implication of actions of both the military as a whole, its leaderships, and the individuals. Our soldiers perform difficult jobs on many levels but that should never exempt them from our free speech and criticism. The successful evolution of the country requires our constant reevaluation and criticism.
