A lot of things are being said about #PK by both the opponents and proponents of the movie. Not that it is the best watch ever, there is no complusion of having a love angle in every other story and meaningful movies can be made without a superfluous love angle as well (high time Bollywood!). But, the beauty of the movie is the way it introduces new thought using the form of entertainment that even a common man understands (which I believe is partially the reason of including a love angle as well). Moreover, if viewed with an open mind, there isnt debasement of any belief whatsoever. To the question of religion, no religion or what religion? my stance remains affirm that without evidence, there cannot be a logical conclusion. However, what is evidence to one maybe refuted by the other, to which values of faith and belief come along. Simply, in uncertainty, everybody has a story. Your story maybe different from mine but, isnt that the beauty of it all? What pleasure would be there in uniformity? The best part of the movie according to me is the intellectual inquiry and rationality it brings forward, for these two have been the two main ingredients of any revolution in the world. Every new thought, may it be the dismantling of the caste system, universal suffrage, feminism has always been opposed. This opposition is the testimony of the advent of rationality and also to a brilliant movie. There has to be substance to impact the mind. For it takes a mind to propose for the heart to oppose. Kudos to PK! And to Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani for a great execution!
