A lot of this talk has veered off topic, and thats ok. A lot of people commented about how theyd rather have quality over quantity. Sure. No one argues that. My logic was never directed at bands who no one really likes flooding the market with every shitty idea they have. I was just trying to draw attention to a weird anomaly. Normally when you have a creative talent who is on a roll, you try to work with them to get the most you can out of it. Most creative industries favor a high workload with an editor to curate. In music , its the only occupation that admires restraint in flexing creative muscle. Ive never heard of a great illustrator hitting their stride because they were dormant for 3 years refining their line technique. I would rather have a ton of bullshit to ignore than lose some great work by my favorite current artists. Its easier for me to ignore bad music than it is to accept losing good music.
