A lot of times I am asked why I started Happy Hands Foundation, - TopicsExpress

A lot of times I am asked why I started Happy Hands Foundation, and I wonder what was the stronger reason : that as a young person I was completely unaware of our cultural heritage (as clueless as my peers), or was it that I felt it was so unfair that the immensely creative artists and craftsmen didnt take pride in their work and therefore didnt want the younger generation to pursue. But when I see the YouthACT Fellows, or the campus ambassadors / college volunteers, I know what keeps me going. Led by Ishaanee Pandey(who joined us about 2 years ago while in college), groups of students from Symbiosis Institute of Design went to craft-clusters for 10-15 days over the summer. A glimpse into the documentation they did. While this may not compare to the great work done by our peers in the industry, the honesty in effort, and the learnings is what shines through and through. #YouthforHeritage.
