A lovely older gentleman passed away while he was at our church today. I can only think of this gnarled and bent over man, who could barely move without assistance, now fully restored to life and running through the streets of gold. He is probably kneeling at the feet of Jesus right now! I did not know him very well, but it brings to light the fact that for believers, in spite of the grief, there is LIFE in Jesus and there is joy. The fact that he was ushered into heaven while doing what he loved....being in the house of God and surrounded by his family of believers is not lost on me.
