A man has been fined for riding a high-powered motorcycle erratically on the Port River Expressway, with his young daughter as a passenger on the motorcycle. Just before 1pm today, police saw a 33-year-old man from Elizabeth East riding a Yamaha R1 motorcycle in an unsafe manner at Wingfield, with his nine-year-old daughter as a pillion passenger. After stopping the man, he submitted to an oral fluid analysis test, which tested positive for methamphetamine. The man was fined for overtaking when unsafe and failing to ride in a marked lane. He may face further drug-related driving offences pending the outcome of laboratory testing on the test sample. The motorcycle was also defected.
