A man is due to appear in court tomorrow charged over an alleged home invasion at Dubbo this morning. It was about 2.30am (Sunday 4 January 2015), when a 46-year-old man heard a noise outside his home in Houston Drive. He’s told police when he went to investigate and was threatened by a man armed with a knife at his front door. Police will allege a man forced his way into the home and threatened the resident, stabbing the bedroom door where he’d retreated. The armed man left a short time later. Police from Orana Local Area Command were alerted and the resident was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for treatment. About 7am, a 38-year-old man was arrested at a home on Sunset Way and taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with aggravated enter dwelling. He was refused bail and is due to appear in Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (Monday 5 January 2015).
