A man living in some old village in a third world country, sold everything, worked extra hard, to pay for his cruise to America. He packed himself some bread and plenty of water to last the voyage. Once in his cabin, he seldom came out, and when he did come out, it was to sneak on to the upper decks and peek through the grand windows at people eating and drinking in the huge dining room with live music in full swing. He wished he could have just one bite of the amazing spread of mouth watering cuisine. When the ship reached its destination, everyone was thanked personally by the Captain of the ship for choosing to travel with them, this man also appeared. When the Captain saw him, he inquired, Sir, how was your journey, I dont remember seeing you over lunch or dinner, hope you enjoyed yourself? To this the young man answered, No Sir, you wouldnt have seen me over lunch or dinner as I could not afford them, I was only able to pay for my ticket. To this the captain replied looking very dismayed and somewhat disappointed, But Sir, your ticket entitled you to EVERYTHING that was available on this ship, its written on the back of your ticket! You can imagine how regretful the young man must have felt. This is exactly whats happening to a lot of us today. Jesus paid the price for us to have a life and have it abundantly, (John 10:10) and its all documented in the Bible. Did you know that you have the power to change the course of your life today? Mark 11:24. One of the places you can read your promises is in Deuteronomy 28:2-14. I must warn you, The Bible is very current, and so expect God to speak to you while you read these. He will tell you the commandments he wants you to obey in return for His promises. He told me if I want these promises I must first honor my husband!! What is He asking of you?
