A mathy friend of mine whos married to a Surrey teacher created this graph. I the thread to his original post David Payne shares: I thought this was really interesting. In the last 20 years, the per-person productivity of our province has gone up about 30% over and above inflation, while teacher salaries have gone DOWN 5-8% over that time frame. If they had simply kept pace with productivity growth since 1992, the starting salary for a teacher in Surrey would be about $65,000, and the max salary would be $105,000.
