A message from Greg Newton: "I have been encouraged by many Norco residents and local elected officials to seek a seat on the Norco City Council and plan to run for a term this November 2013. There is much work to do for the City of Norco. My goals are to continue to address the priorities and current issues of community safety and emergency response. I will work to maintain and expand the senior programs and services provided at the Rose M. Eldridge Senior Center. I will continue to focus on the success of Norco businesses and economic development, present and future, while supporting a sound financial policy. To preserve our lifestyle we must improve and maintain our trail, water and street infrastructure. My service as a Norco Planning Commissioner for nine years, an appointed City Council Member for one year and involvement with ad-hoc committees exhibits my commitment and dedication. Appointed by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, I currently serve as Chairperson of the Oversight Board of the Successor Agency to the Norco CRA. I also serve as First Vice President of the Lake Norconian Club Foundation. The Foundation was formed to preserve and protect the natural and historical resources of Lake Norconian and the Lake Norconian Club. I am an active member of the Norco Animal Rescue Team (NART). I am very proud of my accomplishments and the team that I have put together in anticipation of this race. I would be honored to have your vote. Thank you for your consideration and support."
